The Sins of Legitimizing Terrorists
April 29, 2008 Here we have a situation where the pro Chavez-Correa/non sanctions analysis regarding Venezuela and Ecuador has been leaked to the MIAMI HERALD as if it is the sine qua non of U.S. foreign policy. This Report supposedly determines the legitimacy of the reality that both Ecuador and Venezuela are state sponsors of terror viz their criminal support of the FARC cartels.
This singular pro FARC political Report -read it here- is based on not one iota of complete data, which ignores U.S. laws and regulations, and supposedly was made based on a 2 day trip to Ecuador and Colombia: ignoring and negating whole chunks of facts, history and reality and as such, holds the credibility of a sieve. In fact, the so called Meacham Report reads as if Julia Sweig or some other Soros-backed propagandist wrote the text. Senator Lugar's junior staffer, who came to his team from another Soros backed man, Senator Schumer[D-NY], has long been receptive to political expediency and not to upholding U.S. norms. I think we all know whose influence has impacted this staffer's work which clearly sets about to denounce members of the U.S. House, law enforcement and President Bush's cabinet who have an obligation to perform as truth tellers.
We have heard this before and we have heard these very same anti-sanctions arguments repeatedly from some of the most intellectually compromised actors inside the Latin community. We have heard the message on the anti-sanctions team loud and clear. No one likes sanctions of designations of the facts that Venezuela and Ecuador are state sponsors of terror. No one wants to do this and no one likes it. But...no one should be enthusiastic to pretend that these 2 nations are not what they are either.
The MIAMI HERALD, read it here, and here, fails once again to check its facts and relies on the softest of soft facts in its blatant effort to persuade politically that Lugar's pro Chavez staffer and long time Democratic Party staffer is in lock step with every pro Chavez actor in the USA and Latin America. And indeed he is.
We wish that Lugar would simply remove Meacham and send him back to the U.S. Democratic Party from whence he came and cease the infiltrating lobbying so obvious by the pro Chavez team, using the barely past puberty Meacham. Meacham is well known as the heir apparent to Senator Dodd's Janice and obviously serves the Soros constituency very well in his role at the US Senate Foreign Relations, hastily scurrying to Quito and Colombia for two days to validate the Insulza two day trip just preceding him, at U.S. tax payer expense, to report back that his singular evidence, gleaned from political propaganda prepared by the pro Chavez activists across the U.S. Democratic Party and led by the Soros pro drugs positionings, has the credibility and fact checking nuances of a dead dog and offends our intellect, debasing all known facts to satisfy the growth industry called the Insulza-Soros-Chavez/Correa paid lobbying team.
The article notes, "The report says it would be counterproductive to sanction Venezuela without regional support, something the text admits would be difficult to pull off. Information allegedly retrieved from Reyes' computers show Venezuela and Ecuador were in close contact with FARC guerrillas, and Venezuela may have been in the process of providing up to $300 million in financial support for the rebels. The report `strongly cautions that policymakers must be wary of the implications of poorly thought out sanctions which might isolate the United States.' 'If Venezuela is found to be complicit, the U.S. would be wise to allow for the regional dynamic to take its course,' the report says. 'If the U.S. reacts too strongly, attention will go from Venezuela's transgressions to yet another example of `American intervention' and strong-arm tactics.' ''
Each and every time we have heard from some of the most absurdly self serving proponents of "Hands off Venezuela" and "ignore that dictator over there" we are stunned by their capacity to self destruct their own morals and bring down their nations- and their own families and businesses with them. There is no future for Venezuelans and Ecuadoreans under the criminal cartels now running their lands and making brazen efforts to sweep across Latin America in a united socialist league of criminality. To ignore this is to sell not only Western Civilization out cheaply but each person's very manhood which they offer up very cheaply, deriding any commitment to principled living.
But Karl Meacham, the soft-on-Chavez propagandists' best friend who has not the grace nor the wisdom to separate lobbying fluff from a well paid Soros screed that crafts even more hatred for the USA and even more hatred for law and order, has long been a disgrace. Karl is a leftist U.S. Democrat who pretends that his Republican bona fides are real. Karl's only bona fides are his willingness to sell out and dupe his doddering employer Lugar whose age related problems are well known. This is a disgrace and we abhor abuse of senior citizens, duped as they are by duplicitous staffers. But Lugar has long been sensitized to the Barack Obama propaganda, now directly organized by the pro Chavez/anti-Uribe/anti USA/anti Freedom actors. There is no end in sight.
We know that the MIAMI HERALD is up to no good and is helping the pro Chavez wing of the U.S. Democrats because that newspaper, while commendably offering the actual 4-28-08 Report, did not question one bit the very sources of Meacham and his anti USA helpers, impacted as they are by Venezuelans and Ecuadoreans whose sole purpose today is to self aggrandize, ignore the facts, debase law and order and pretend that the criminal cartels of Chavez and Rafael Correa will magically self correct if we ignore their growth industry- called crime- and allow "nature to take its course." A review of the so called sources for this Meacham Report from Ecuador is about as credible and useful as one more of the self same US AID-Soros Reports on the glorious democracy under Cuban design today in Ecuador. Not one truth teller was interviewed by Meacham in Ecuador and every one interviewed, as seen in his roster, none appreciate law and order and are themselves dearly blinded by the Chris Dodd-George Soros family of unhelpful propagandists who hate the USA and loathe Uribe and Alan Garcia. Moreover, instead of a fact based analysis of the criminal cartels running Venezuela and Ecuador today, Meacham pre-empts the facts and abuses his high office- paid for by the U.S. taxpayer- to assist the U.S. Democrats and Chavez by insisting that Chavez and Correa are correct and that the USA must never ever hold them accountable for their overt and growing criminality.
We remind Meacham and all his Chavez-Correa double agents pals that the USA has a basic norm at the heart of all this that denotes that the law of the jungle...nature taking its course is not the very bedrock of civil society. We do not appreciate anarchy and the law of the jungle; the FARC jungle that is where rape, murder, kidnapping and drug running is rampant. This is moral relativism preached on a broad scale today by moral relativists and infiltrators and Chavez-Cuban double agents who care nothing for Western Civilization or rule of law. We hold their positions as cheaply as they hold their own manhood cheaply: always willing and able to sell out to the highest bidder. This is not appealing and it is not legitimate, however much it feels "normal" to the anti USA actors inside the U.S. Democratic Party, led as it is today by George Soros who himself says he has no morals/no ethics and no religion. Indeed.
But Meacham is simply following the U.S. Democratic Party-Soros-Fenton Communications lobbying plan, so notably seen in the U.S. House of Representatives on April 10, 2008 where two events were planned to occur simultaneously by the U.S. Democrats: Nancy Pelosi as Speaker rose to strip out U.S. law by a fake application of House Rules to upend the federal Fast Track rule on free trade voting even as Congressman Engle bowed to the insidious anti USA and anti Alvaro Uribe actors to deliver a staged so called Hearing regarding the role of the terror group known as the FARC. Engle and his team of Soros pro drugs actors refused to even permit one truth teller- that is the facts- from the U.S. government to be presented or shared at the hearing staged supposedly on the very matter of the FARC, desperately in need of facts and figures. But the Pelosi-Soros team would have none of this and only allowed political advocates to enable further the Chavez-FARC-Correa team of criminal thugs to speak, the lone exception being one man from the Heritage Foundation who was outflanked and outmaneuvered, himself a mere cipher as Jose Miguel Insulza swore under oath that the FARC is not much more than a political/irregular group and must never be known for what it is as a terror group. Insulza, who lied before the U.S. Congress under oath, committed perjury and acted to defend the FARC essentially. Insulza seeks total control of adjudicating the FARC criminality and a denouncement of standard common law. This is beyond jury tampering and looks more like the worst part of Latin American justice seeping in to the USA: political control of what used to be called justice. But when justice and law and order ignore the facts, the USA is lost. This is of course what these activists seek: systems of non justice mimicking their own inept and corrupt non justice where only the neo Marxist and neo communist cartels control all facets of human life. Ecuadoreans think that this form of judicial manipulation is normal now. Western civilization and all nations who purport to defend law and order should be repulsed.
But Karl Meacham acted rashly to ignore and bar facts and figures about the FARC and its criminality in his rush to deliver his Soros-imbued propaganda to influence U.S. foreign policy and derail common sense law and order. Lugar should remove him. And every single person that Meacham worked with on this screed should be exposed.
We know what this effort is all about...it is a dishonest grand slam to pre empt justice and turn off the very lights of fact finding commenced by Republican members of the U.S. House of Representatives. We know this because the HERALD writer tells us so in the first story lead: that Karl Meacham using his high office under Lugar has made a fake report based on two days' work and relied on no data, no facts or figures and involved no one- no one at all from the US DEA, the US FBI, the US Treasury, the US military, the US Commerce Department, the Bush Cabinet or ONDCP. No indeed- their truths are irrelevant to the Soros-Obama-Dodd-Leahy-Lugar actors and this is why we dismiss Karl Meacham's propaganda out of hand and note that he should be fired for this blatant abnegation of U.S. facts and figures. We are aware that the US CIA and State Department sustains about half its team today running errantly on their self debasing fools' errand to warn us all that facts and figures about the FARC are irrelevant even as they continue to fund with US tax dollars some of this globe's worst liars and Soros activists, as does the OAS today. The HERALD article immediately pits truth tellers from the US House against the shallow non fact propaganda ginned up by Meacham-Soros teams as if....as if this is a substitute for reality.
We have seen this before and will see more and more of it in the near future because...these folks are enabled to spread their naive and harmful propaganda with all the moral surety of a mafia cartel now.
As if to defend their pro-FARC activities, the HERALD article seems to rush to print in a bizarre effort to distance the unassailable WALL STREET JOURNAL piece by Mary Anastasia O'Grady, reprinted in full here:
Friends of Terror in Peru
By MARY ANASTASIA O'GRADY
April 28, 2008; Page A17
Thursday's vote by the European Parliament to take the Peruvian guerrilla group known as the Tupac Amaru (aka MRTA) off its terrorist list has Peru in an uproar. For good reason: The MRTA is notorious for kidnapping, torturing and murdering civilians to advance its political agenda. More recently, Peruvian officials have linked it to Hugo Chávez's "Bolivarian Movement," which seeks to destabilize democracies in Latin America, and to the Colombian rebel group FARC.
The Europeans' decision is maddening. But it is also instructive, in that it shows how terrorists can advance their cause with the help of nongovernmental organizations. Under such headings as "human-rights" advocacy, NGOs that share the ideology of the far left toil away daily in Peru, trying to legitimize their buddies who, behind the scenes, continue their "armed struggle." The kicker is that these NGOs are often funded by foreign governments and philanthropists.
Peruvian Congressman Rolando Sousa, who I interviewed in Lima 10 days ago, knows a lot about the problem. He headed a congressional subcommittee that looked into the activities of the Bolivarian Movement in Peru. Its findings are now before a special commission with subpoena power that is likely to uncover even more. But he's already learned enough to cause alarm.
Mr. Sousa says that Mr. Chávez's Bolivarian Movement sits on a three-legged stool. Two of the legs are legal, the third is not. The first leg is official Venezuelan "diplomacy." Discounted oil shipments have bought the allegiance of 19 countries in the region. Other ploys, such as the purchase of Argentine debt and aid for Ecuadorian energy projects, are likewise designed to create dependence and establish Venezuelan dominance.
The second leg of the stool is the effort to establish ideological control within unions and grassroots organizations. These organizations have created a series of nonprofit "associations," which, Mr. Sousa says, operate internally like political parties, with official titles like "secretary of foreign relations" and "secretary of doctrine."
The names of these NGO associations – like "Houses of Alba" (Bolivarian Alternative for the Americas) and "Houses of Friendship" – may sound innocuous. But, says Mr. Sousa, "What matters is their objective which, like a coin, has two sides. One side is open. The other is hidden."
Openly, the associations administer eye clinics, literacy programs and health centers manned by Cuban doctors. Behind the scenes, the congressman warns, they work to indoctrinate the poorest Peruvians in the ideology of the extreme left.
The third, illegal leg of the stool is the most dangerous. Mr. Sousa cites two groups: the "Continental Bolivarian Coordinator" and the "Bolivarian Congress of the People." His committee found that both are recruiting and using the most extreme elements of the country – anarchists, terrorists and the radical left – to produce "the social conditions . . . the chaos" necessary to create the impression that democracy is not working.
Once this is accomplished, the grassroots organizations – nurtured by the NGOs – are standing by, ready to bring the extremists to power through the ballot box. The strategy was used in Bolivia to bring down the Sánchez de Lozada government in 2003 and bring Chávez puppet Evo Morales to power.
There is now ample evidence linking Mr. Chávez, the mastermind of the Bolivarian Movement, to terrorism, courtesy of the computers seized from the camp of dead Colombian guerrilla Raúl Reyes. At this time the connection, beyond ideology, between the Bolivarian NGOs and the Bolivarian terrorists remains blurry, notes Mr. Sousa. But the special congressional commission may bring the relationship into focus.
Meanwhile the work of other foreign-funded NGOs in the interest of terrorist organizations warrants urgent attention. Take the Peruvian "human-rights" group Aprodeh, which labored in Europe to get the MRTA off the terrorist list there, even though Peru still considers it a grave threat to its security.
In 2007, according to government records, Aprodeh received funding from Oxfam America, George Soros's Open Society, the John Merck Foundation, the city of Barcelona, the Dutch embassy and a U.S. government agency called the Inter-American Foundation, among others. On Friday, the Peruvian government asked Aprodeh to explain how its NGO status allows it to intervene on behalf of terrorists, as it did in the European Parliament.
No wonder the term NGO has become a dirty word in Peru. In an interview in Lima last week, Peruvian President Álan Garcia told me that "anticapitalism" NGOs funded by foreigners also play a major role in blocking development. "It's something that amazes me," he said.
Me too. Especially considering the fact that the victims of the poverty and violence that their agenda produces are Peru's most vulnerable.

We at ECrisis know very well that the JOURNAL performs requisite fact checking, whereas Karl Meacham clearly did not in his rush to prove his allegiance to the Soros actors and the U.S. Democrats, on a roll now. Senator Lugar needs to have a medical check up and a direct talking with the head of the US FBI, the DEA and Treasury's FIN CEN. We hope that Meacham- the leaker and co conspirator with all things anti USA and all matters pro FARC, will be excluded and that only the facts remain.
We can also hope that every single US governmental entity will have on President Bush's desk this week a full and detailed roster of the facts about how many US groups and entities aid and abet the Soros efforts to legitimize that which should never be legitimized in Latin America and how much money the U.S. taxpayers are paying for the very fraud that enables thefts of U.S. businesses, kidnappings of innocent U.S. citizens, rape, murder and drug running. You no doubt assume that this has long been the case. You would be wrong in this presumption which we pray will be rectified soon.
Peru and Colombia clearly have reached a profound moment where they believe that Western civilization's finest aspirations can be worked through their lands and after twenty years of mayhem, death and profound corruption, do not want to return to the bad old days where all life was manipulated by the state and no liberty had meaning. Ecuador today seeks a place where all is manipulated and liberty has no meaning. What precisely the USA is doing to deny these very freedom lovers in Peru and Colombia a chance to succeed is anathema to us as we ponder the cause and effects of the politics of Soros's hatred for liberty, which he claims to appreciate, while at the same moment insisting that liberty is only useful if he and he alone makes money off such efforts. This is not philanthropy and we remain puzzled as to why anyone listens to this debauched position of self promoting greed and hatred.
Latin America has enough of its own homegrown greed mongers, self enriching state kleptocrats and manipulative selfishly irresponsible families without crowning these debauched by-ways as relevant and useful today. Certainly none need pay money to aid and abet such dysfunction.
Karl Meacham's Report has all the hallmarks of benefiting offshore Venezuelan oil traders, clearly the sole beneficiaries of a lawless U.S. policy toward Venezuela and Correa. The rest of the fears and admonishments of the "Meacham" political propaganda, relying on non facts as it does, is pure support for offshore Venezuelan oil traders who move across many lands to defend their right to tax free speculation now, driving up per barrel trading along with the derivatives teams, notably Soros and his ilk whose acts contain no real function, no real product and craft whole economic add ons, currently predicted at about 20% cost of living increases all told, in today's homes. If you think that such unregulated greed and the politics of hatred is growing your family, your nation and your well being while stripping the essentials of western civilization, then you really should stop reading this column. Meacham's so called Report helps the political propaganda that retains oil trading and off shore speculators to self enrich while costing each of us the destabilizing end run which shows cost of living sky rocketing. But the U.S. Democrats are so beholden to Soros and his money that they have not once derided these tactics and instead pretend that this is all the fault of President Bush and Wall Street. New York's loss of real time investment behaviors is tragic but we note that this is not the "fault" of Wall Street but instead the off shore swaps traders, who do have a legal right to speculate as they wish, but the immoral causative effects that drive cost of living ends to the point today as unbearable for most and will with some hope finally be seen for what it is: a 20% add on to all living costs to satisfy the generic Soros traders who benefit not one living soul but their own wallets.
And yet we are not insensitive to the perils of any economic sanctions against any nation. Economic sanctions are often self defeating and set up poorly tangled webs of effective enforcement while causing harm to much needed free flow of goods and services. However, at some point designations of nations as state sponsors of terror and any attendant economic sanctions are a cherished tool of democracy which is irrefutable. With few tools available except military wars, the USA reserves the right to bat the free flow of goods when a nation- any nation- is so morally and ethically broken down that criminality runs the day. TO ignore this is moral bankruptcy where caveat emptor creates more problems than benefits. But Meacham's Report uses a cheap shot to ell us that economic sanctions will hurt Colombia's trade with Venezuela...as if this is of paramount concern. Colombia itself should know- as it does know well- that Venezuela seeks to overthrow its democracy and take over all trade. Colombians have gone down a thorny road before, trading at times with Castro's Cuba even as Colombians know well that Castro's Cuba seeks the enjoyment of Colombia's demise and an end to all freedom. To pretend that free trade among nations, while essential, will cancel the illicit take over aspirations of Colombia by sociopaths such as Correa and Chavez is the height of naive libertine dreaming.
The additional reliance on "regional" support for anti-FARC actors, as suggested by Meacham is of course always a good idea. Nonetheless, there are no regional law and order allies surrounding Peru and Colombia today: all are on the Chavez extortion racket scheme. To be sure, the OAS wants to political commandeer the final dissolution of the prima facie evidence from the FARC materials so that no one suffers one pang of conscience and that all of Latin America can form a more perfect narcozone, as envisioned by Insulza's current mentor Soros and his past mentor Chile's Lagos who today is a paid Soros contractor. U.S. Senator Dodd thinks that this is a great idea and his family friend Linda Jewell has done her best to help them reach this goal. Meacham tells us that the USA must "allow for the regional dynamic to take its course" and turn its attention away from "Venezuela's transgressions." Sounding more like Joe Kennedy's reports on ignoring Adolf Hitler's "transgressions" we can only ponder the reruns of history failing to learn anything about aiding and abetting criminals, which Meacham clearly suggests and clearly, contrary to his deeply flawed Report advisors, must be rejected. Meacham also suggests that the Reyes computer materials be handled through a "credible multilateral organization" which of course does not exist. Insulza already exposed his capacity to lie to the US Congress under oath and his allegiance to the pro FARC Soros team is well known. We also appreciate the Linda Jewell-Karl Meacham joke of including the so called Appendix IV- a hastily rewritten Plan Ecuador to cover up what Rafael Correa claims he is doing against the FARC but in fact has not done once- ever. We all know that Correa is a sociopathic liar and his whoppers about the FARC are legion. Besides, one does not need the US DEA to know that the FARC and all its criminal underbelly are crawling all over Ecuador. They are seen everywhere at all times and are known for the fact that Ecuador's murder and crime rate is the highest on Earth, just as Colombia's was about 20 years ago. Correa calls this "peaceful coexistence" with terrorists, criminals and drug runners. He also calls this his own personal family values: how he was raised. Correa touts this as a culture of peace when there is no peace...only the random drug shootings, rape, murder and mayhem taking place 24/7 in Ecuador now. But Correa wants Karl Meacham to tell you that the Ecuadorean police are competent to protect Ecuador from crime and the FARC. This is of course a true lie.
Meanwhile, Chavez and Correa "consolidate" Latin America in to a nightmare where nothing is accountable, no one tells the truth and everything is cynically assumed to be bought and paid for by the highest bidder. We are long past moral turpitude and are well in to moral debauchery by these criminal cartels, poseurs really as legitimate governments when they are not.
We hope that Meacham and all his shameful, unregistered offshore oil trading lobbying friends in Washington DC and London are tossed out and that common sense returns to the U.S. government. Already this gaggle of dishonest speculators has set up Insulza, who is not blameless at all, to take the fall for their own dishonesty- blaming Insulza, himself a Soros man, for the very insidious lies they have spread in tandem with Insulza: that the FARC are legitimate political parties and that no one should say one word against Chavez and Correa because to do so will make....Chavez and Correa angry and thus, with their anger, create some mythical harm to the USA. We have heard this before- for months and we reject this morally confused strategy by morally confused proponents out of hand.
Our favorite line from the HERALD article is this one: “Sanctioning Venezuela for allegedly supporting a Marxist Colombian guerrilla group would make Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez more popular and diminish U.S. standing in Latin America..." This line is a direct quote from the Chavez propaganda team and the double agents of Venezuelan offshore oil trading adventurers and additional paid activists to destroy law and order to insure more perfect narcostates in the Andes: we have heard it before and have seen this very line quoted from their mouths. That Meacham performs no research and utilizes no due diligence, while sucking up whole cloth these non-facts is as clear as the source of his propaganda-inspired political "Report."
Both Alvaro Uribe and Alan Garcia have asked for and today need the support of honest North Americans. They do not need unmanned oil derivatives traders overlording law and order to aid and abet the FARC criminal conspirators nor is it helpful that offshore oil derivatives traders are effortlessly running law and order in to the ground, as is underway viz the Soros-US Democratic Party plan today. While Ecuador may enjoy pretending manipulatively that life is so worthless that their own country sustains the highest murder rates on the planet Earth- not caring one bit that innocent lives are gunned down around the clock thanks to the Correa lawlessness nor do Venezuelans care that crime and despair are their daily fare now, apparently Uribe and Garcia care a lot....and their countrymen appreciate the stability and return of freedom's promise to Peru and Colombia, even as Venezuela and Ecuador denounce freedom and pay lots of money to kill freedom in other lands.
Meacham and the HERALD are right about one thing: the USA must never make sanctions determinations lightly. And indeed the USA has laws and regulations preventing the almost impossible task of designating criminal nations for what they are. the USA gives great lee way to debased lands and its morally vacated citizens who themselves have sold their own nation and any remaining values up the river, as is the case in Venezuela and Ecuador who today do not even have the grace to reform and stand united with Garcia and Uribe for all that they hold dear, preferring instead to mentally vacate and go ....shopping and pretend that no unity of purpose betters anything. Clearly Ecuadoreans and Venezuelans look to the globe as the repulsive and irresponsibly selfish self promoters that they are.
But Karl Meacham seems to pretend that the Chavez and Correa oath of office- to lie, steal and cheat as much as they can from North Americans while conspiring with global terror groups, is worthy of respect...when it is not the case at all. We hear this all the time from the proponents of this immoral landscape.
And while these immature and morally debased sub humans are busily telling the world to ignore the growing criminality in Latin America, comes Uribe and Garcia ironically to ask for moral support and also to ask that the USA remove its money which is active now to destroy the very democratic rights they have at last come to enjoy. Meacham and his string of Soros speculator lobbyists wants to sell Peru and Colombia down the river/bar them from progress and return them to their previous positions as narcostates, joining Bolivia, Ecuador and Venezuela is a bloc of narconations, also known as lawless Marxist lands, called Bolivarianism.
Lugar needs to apologize to the U.S. public for his sheer waste of U.S. monies and for causing harm to the very high order he is supposed to uphold. Pro-FARC and pro Chavez reports based on specious Soros team members from Ecuador and no due diligence whatsoever is just the beginning as to why Lugar's handiwork in his name needs to be ripped up and full apologies given.
We understand fully why this Report sourced only the anti Plan Colombia actors as noted on page 49- not so different than the same persons that Insulza met with two days before. We grasp fully their role and the hefty preponderance of the Correa pro FARC materials in this Report. But we do not understand why William Brownfield has not insisted that his name be removed from this Report. We look forward to the removal of this specious lobbying tool for the Soros team.
The "Meacham Report" for the U.S. Senate of 4-28-08 is called Playing with Fire.
It should correctly be called Playing with the Truth and Losing. Indeed, if we were Peruvians and Colombians, we would rally to denounce the end of their days and the termination of their hard won freedoms by the Chavez-FARC-Correa team, so blatantly aided and abetted by the U.S. Congress on April 28, 2008.
These then are the new Friends of Terror across all the Americas now.
